NEW RIVER ELECTRIC / AEP, Columbus, OH
WAC was awarded a subcontract from New River Electric to replace a total of thirty-six 138kV HPFF Ohio Brass terminations with new G & W terminations on 6 circuits at 6 different substations on behalf of AEP in Columbus, OH. Our work began in July of 2017 with half of the terminations already being replaced and the remaining terminations are scheduled to be replaced by the end of 2019.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER, Alexandria, VA
WAC is currently working on the DVP Feeder 184 & 185 69kV MPFF and the Feeder 182 & 183 69kV HPFF, anticipated completion to take place in the first quarter of 2019. Line Removal Projects from Pentagon Substation to Station C. Our work includes removing the two 69kV MPFF lines and the two 69kV HPFF lines including all of the cable, fluid, splices, and terminations with an anticipated completion during the first quarter of 2019.

POTOMAC ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, Washington, DC
WAC is currently working on the NW Substation Project, a 3-mile long 138kV HPFF double circuit project with the civil and pipe work complete and the cable cutover including cable pulling, splicing, terminations and fluid filling to be performed in 2019.

DELMARVA POWER, Ocean City, MD
WAC was awarded the Prime Contract for the PHI / DPL Worcester to Ocean City Project, a 1.1 mile, double circuit, 138kV XLPE cable system that will be operated at 69kV. Civil work began in late 2015 and will run through the end of 2018 which includes two 3,700 foot Horizontal Directional Drills of the Sinepuxent Bay and the installation of two 38 inch fusible PVC casings. The electrical installation including all cable, splices, terminations and accessories is scheduled for completion during the 1st quarter of 2019.

WS DEVELOPMENT, Boston, MA
WAC was awarded a project to design and construct the relocation of two 115kV HPFF cables to allow for the development of a new building in the Seaport area of Boston. The turnkey project involves the preliminary investigation, schematic design, development, procurement and construction of the project. Our preliminary work started in 2016, with design phases in 2017 and construction in 2018 and 2019.

BLACK & VEATCH / PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC, San Francisco, CA
In April of 2018, WAC concluded a subcontract with Black & Veatch for the Embarcadero Cutover Project on behalf of PG&E in San Francisco, CA. Our work involved the cutover of 300 feet of the 230kV HPFF H-Z1 circuit into the Embarcadero GIS Substation, including 3 GIS terminations and 1 full stop joint.

XCEL ENERGY, Denver, CO
WAC worked as the Prime Contractor for the 2 Basins Relocation Project on behalf of Xcel Energy in Denver, CO with the civil and HDD work completed in the 1st quarter of 2018. The electrical work, including the relocation of 1,500 feet of 8-inch pipe and 115kV HPFF cable, 2 new manholes and 2 splices, was completed in May of 2018.

EVERSOURCE / NORTHEAST UTILITIES, Danbury, CT
In May of 2018, WAC completed the contract to replace twelve 115kV HPFF terminations in Danbury, CT on behalf of Eversource / Northeast Utilities.

SEATTLE CITY LIGHT / THE WALSH GROUP, Seattle, WA
WAC was awarded a sub-contract with The Walsh Group to perform the 115kV HPFF underground construction portion of the Denny Substation Project on behalf of Seattle City Light in downtown Seattle. All of the major work, as well as the ancillary components of the project, including testing and commissioning, was concluded by August of 2018.

CITY OF CLEVELAND, Cleveland, OH
WAC was awarded a contract by the City of Cleveland, OH to repair 500 feet of a 138kV HPFF circuit that runs along I-90 in Cleveland to the Lake Road Substation on Lake Erie. Beginning in the 2nd quarter of 2018, WAC installed 500 feet of new cable, one splice and three terminations. All work was successfully completed in October of 2018.

MAC PRODUCTS / DELMARVA POWER, Ocean City, MD
WAC completed a subcontract from MAC Products replacing six 138kV HPFF terminations at the Ocean Bay and St. Martin Neck Substations. Preliminary civil and electrical work began on the project during the 1st quarter of 2018 and all work was executed by November of 2018.

PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GAS, Bayonne, NJ
WAC finished a contract with PSE&G for the Bayonne Substation Upgrade that included all of the civil and electrical work for the relocation of one set of 3 terminations, the installation of approximately 500 feet of new 8-inch steel pipe and approximately 500 feet of 138kV HPFF cable each on 2 different circuits. Our work began in March of 2018 and was completed by November 2018.

BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC, Baltimore, MD
In November of 2018, WAC replaced a 115kV HPFF splice on Route 140 in Owings Mill, MD, along with the replacement of several valves in adjoining manholes.

FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT, Multiple Locations, FL
In December of 2018, WAC concluded two different projects from FPL that started in the 2nd quarter of 2018; the Flagami Project which included the cutover of an existing 230kV HPFF circuit into a new inductor substation and the Port Everglades Project where we reconductored a 50 foot section of a 230kV HPFF circuit from the trifurcator to the installation of 3 new terminations.

PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GAS, Multiple Locations, NJ
WAC has completed 3 projects for PSE&G in the 1st quarter of 2018; the reconductoring of the 5 mile long T-1346 line from the North Avenue Substation to the Bayway Substation, which included upgrading the circuit from 230kV to 345kV through the installation of new HPFF cable, 7 normal splices and 6 terminations, the Q-1369 345kV HPFF Termination Upgrade Project at the Bayway Substation and the H-1308 138kV HPFF Termination Relocation Project at the Essex Substation.

BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC, Baltimore, MD
WAC has successfully completed the emergency repair of a 115kV XLPE circuit in Annapolis, MD on behalf of BGE by removing the failed splice and section of damaged cable and replacing it with two new splices and a new section of cable.

EVERSOURCE / NSTAR ELECTRIC & GAS, Charlestown, MA
In April of 2018, WAC completed a contract from Eversource for the Mystic Station 250, Line 351 Relocation, which included the relocation of 300 feet of 345kV HPFF cable, a new stop joint, three terminations and a new termination structure.

ITC TRANSMISSION, Detroit, MI
WAC assisted ITC to make an emergency repair to a 138kV HPGF circuit in the 8 Mile Road Substation in Detroit, MI by replacing a damaged termination and opening up a three conductor splice to remove and replace the failed single conductor.

POTOMAC ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, Washington, DC
WAC successfully completed the relocation of two 69kV HPFF circuits as part of the DC DOT South Capitol Street Project and the 138kV / 230kV Buzzard to Waterfront Substation Project during the 1st quarter of 2018.

ATLANTIC CITY ELECTRIC / DOMINION / POTOMAC ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, Multiple Locations; DC, MD, NJ & VA
During the 1st quarter of 2018, WAC responded to several emergency storm duty requests from ACE, Dominion and PEPCO as a result of a series of severe Northeast wind and snow events by assisting the various utilities to restore power to their customers.

BLACK & VEATCH / PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRICSan Francisco, CA
WAC has completed two subcontracts with Black & Veatch on behalf of PG&E in San Francisco, CA. The first project involved the relocation of 1,100 feet of the 230kV HPFF H-Z2 circuit along Folsom Street as it crosses Cesar Chavez including the cable, 8 inch pipe and 2 splices. The second project called for the rearrangement of 150 feet of 230kV HPFF cable and 3 terminations into the new GIS building in the Embarcadero Substation

WAC has finished working on the Dominion Virginia Power Feeder 179 & 180 BICC Cable Removal Project from Pentagon Substation to Rosslyn Substation by removing the two 69kV MPOF lines including all of the cable, fluid, splices and terminations.

PECOPhiladelphia, PA
In May of 2017, WAC successfully completed the 130-02 TUG HPFF contract from PECO including the relocation of the 3,000 foot 138kV circuit which included the installation of 3 splices and 3 new manholes. In the 4th quarter of 2017, WAC completed a contract from PECO for the replacement and connection of two new pumping plants at the Schuykill Substation in Philadelphia, PA. Our scope included the decommissioning of the 2 existing pumping plants, connecting the 2 new pumping plants and rearranging all of the existing 2 inch oil lines and valves.

In 2017, WAC has completed the 69kV Buzzard Substation to WAR Substation Feeder Retirement Project in Washington, DC and the 69kV Bells Mills Substation Project in Montgomery County, MD on behalf of PEPCO.

EVERSOURCE / NORTHEAST UTILITIESMultiple Locations, CT
WAC has completed the contract to replace eighteen 115kV HPFF terminations, 2,600 circuit feet of 115kV HPFF cable, one splice and the removal and replacement of 31,200 gallons of dielectric fluid in Norwalk, CT on behalf of Eversource / Northeast Utilities and to replace six 115kV HPFF terminations in Hartford, CT in 2017.

PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GASMultiple Locations, NJ
In the summer of 2017, WAC completed a contract from PSE&G to reconductor the L-1338 line from the Bayonne Switching Station to the Marion Switching Station, upgrading the 4.4 mile long circuit from 230kV to 345kV through the installation of new HPFF cable and splices. Earlier this fall, WAC also completed the Mahwah Substation Stop Joint project by installing 300 feet of new 345kV HPFF cable, stop joints and three terminations.

In October of 2017, WAC completed the 2 Basins Removal Project on behalf of Xcel Energy in Denver, CO by removing 15,000 feet of 115kV HPFF cable, 18,000 gallons of dielectric fluid, 6 terminations and accessories at the North and California Substations.

EVERSOURCE / NSTAR ELECTRIC & GASEverett, MA
WAC completed the repair of the 345kV HPFF 349Y Circuit in Everett, MA during the 1st quarter of 2017 including the installation of 1,000 feet of new cable, 2 normal splices and the rearranging of the existing GIS terminations to accept the new cable.

FIRST ENERGYCleveland, OH
WAC was awarded a contract to replace twenty-four 138kV HPFF terminations at three different substations in Cleveland, Ohio on behalf of First Energy. Our work started in September of 2016 and was completed in early 2017.

BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRICBaltimore, MD
WAC has completed the BGE Constitution Street HPFF Project in May of 2017. Our work involved cutting over 2 existing 115kV HPFF circuits into the new Constitution GIS Substation along with the installation of 4 splices and 12 terminations.

FLORIDA POWER & LIGHTBal Harbour, FL
In August 2017, WAC completed repairs to a 138kv line suspended under the Haulover Bridge in Miami, Florida. The work included multiple split sleeve welded repairs where pipe walls had degraded over time from heavy salt air and poor suspension hardware, while working from suspended scaffolding, a positioned barge, an aerial lift and on night work without any safety or environmental incidents.

EVERSOURCE / NSTAR ELECTRIC & GASVarious Locations, MA
WAC completed the replacement of 8 sections of 345kV HPFF cable including splices and terminations on Line 372 as well as the new installation of over 30,000 feet of 115kV HPFF cable, pipe and accessories in South Boston from the K Street Substation to Day Boulevard during the 2nd quarter of 2016. WAC also completed a contract with the Town of Belmont in 2016 to install two 8-inch pipes, 5,000 circuit feet of 115kV HPFF cable, 4 splices and 12 terminations along a 1 mile long right-of-way connecting their new substation with an existing NSTAR substation. In 2016, WAC successfully completed a subcontract from the Middlesex Corporation for the Underground Transmission scope of the Eversource / NSTAR Station 315 Project. Our work included the installation of 8 inch pipe, 138kV HPFF cable and accessories.

DUQUESNE LIGHT COMPANYPittsburgh, PA
WAC completed the on-time installation of a 9.2 mile 345kV HPFF cable system as part of the Brunot Island to Tecumseh Underground Project in June. Our work included 28 cable pulls, 22 normal splices, 5 stop joints, 2 sets of terminations, fluid filling of the system.

ITC TRANSMISSION / BLACK & VEATCHDetroit, MI
WAC has completed the contract to relocate an existing 120kV HPGF circuit into the new Temple Substation. The work included the removal of 1,600 feet of cable and 3 splices, the installation of 3 new manholes and the new cable system including 1,700 feet of 8 inch pipe, 1,800 feet of cable, 4 splices, 2 spreaders and 6 terminations along with some new equipment to supplement the existing cathodic protection system. Our work was completed on-time and both circuits were placed into service in February of 2016.

BALFOUR BEATTY CONSTRUCTIONWashington, DC
WAC has completed the Capitol Crossing Project by relocating two 138kV HPFF lines between 3rd and 6thStreets on Massachusetts Avenue. The work included the intercept of 2 existing PEPCO 138kV HPFF circuits and the installation of 8 inch pipe, 1250 kcmil 138kV HPFF cable and accessories. The 1st circuit was energized in late 2015 and the 2nd one in February of 2016.

In March, WAC completed the reconductoring of the V-2222 circuit, an existing 6-mile long 230kV HPFF line with 31,680 feet of new 345kV HPFF cable and accessories along a New Jersey Transit right-of-way.

WAC has completed several small emergency response / preventative maintenance projects on behalf of BGE in early 2016 as part of our Underground Transmission COC Contract including repairing a 69kV MPFF feeder in January, replacing 2 link boxes on a 69kV XLPE line in February and rebuilding a 138kV HPFF splice in March.

AMERICAN TRANSMISSION COMPANYStraits of Mackinac, MI
WAC has completed our portion of the Straits of Mackinac Project in which we connected the land portions of a 138kV MPOF self-contained cable water crossing between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron by installing a total of 8 G & W terminations and 8 splices.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWERAlexandria, VA
WAC has finished working on several upgrades to the North Alexandria Substation and Potomac Yards Substation including the installation of a new double-leg, single circuit 230kV HPFF cable system which includes two new manholes, stainless steel work and a new fluid reservoir and pumping system.

WAC has completed all of our work on the SRP Projects with the pipe and civil work completed during the summer of 2015 and the cable and accessory installation of the 230kV HPFF cable system throughout the SRP route completed in the fall of 2015.

NSTAR ELECTRIC & GASMultiple Locations, MA
WAC has completed the relocation of two 115kV lines (1 HPFF and 1 HPGF) under the Acushnet River in New Bedford as part of a larger Army Corps of Engineers project to dredge the polluted parts of the river. In addition, WAC has also finished working on the installation of two new stop-joints, the relocation of structures and the replacement of terminations in Substation # 71.

WAC has completed the Ritchie to Buzzard Project which included the reconductoring of an 11.2 mile HPFF circuit from 138kV to 230kV, the upgrading of a 7,500 foot circuit from 138kV to 230kV and all of the traffic control and management duties.

WAC has completed working on the 69kV HPFF Tuna Substation Relocation Project in order to accommodate a new exit ramp off of I-95 at Lehigh Avenue for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The work included over 4,000 feet of cable, 2 splices, 3 terminations, a new Cathodic Protection system with an anode bed and the installation of about 3,000 feet of 8-inch spare pipe.

WAC has completed the J-2236 Reconductoring Project, replacing the existing 230kV HPFF cable and accessories with new 345kV HPFF cable and accessories including 12 splices over the 4.5 mile route, the Y-1351 Reconductoring Project, a similar 9 mile long project including the removal of the cable, accessories and over 90,000 gallons of dielectric fluid as well as the certification of the pipe and the installation of the new 345kV HPFF cable system and the L-1312 Reconductoring Project with the removal of over 31,000 gallons of dielectric fluid, cable and accessories on the 3.2 mile circuit and the installation of the new 230kV HPFF cable system. In addition, WAC has completed the pipe and civil work on SRP segments 1, 1A, 3 and 5.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWERArlington, VA
WAC has completed the installation of 4 miles of double circuit, 230kV underground transmission pipe type cable from the Pentagon Substation to the new Radnor Heights Substation on the grounds of Ft. Myer as well as the installation of 5 miles of 230kV HPFF cable in an existing spare pipe from Burke to Sideburn. In addition, WAC has completed the reconductoring of the 2036 Line, a single circuit, 2.6 mile, 230kV HPFF extension of the main route from the Pentagon Substation to the Glebe Substation.

WAC has completed the New Jersey to Florida Project with the new installation of 13,000 feet of 69kV HPFF cable and accessories along with all of the traffic control and management duties.

NSTAR ELECTRIC & GASMultiple Locations, MA
WAC has completed the installation of a stop-joint and the replacement of existing terminations at Substation # 2 as well as the replacement of nine (9) existing 115kV HPFF terminations at Substation # 53. In addition, WAC has completed the replacement of two sections of the 115kV HPFF lines 329 and 531 under the Charles River.

WAC has completed the relocation of a 1,500 foot, 120kV HPGF line on behalf of Black & Veatch and ITC Transmission in Detroit, MI as part of the Michigan DOT project to remove the Alfred Street Bridge.

WAC has completed our part of the work for the relocation of two 138kV HPFF circuits due to an Ohio DOT Project.

PECOPhiladelphia, PA
WAC has completed the installation of pipe and valves for a new HPFF pumping plant at the Master Substation as well as the preventative maintenance and repair of several 69kV HPFF semi-stop splices.

POWERSOUTH ENERGY COOPERATIVE, Orange Beach, AL
WAC was awarded the Prime contract to purchase and install a total of 26,000 feet of 115kV XLPE cable manufactured by Sumitomo Electric / J-Power in a 6,500 foot HDD conduit installed by others under the Wolf Bay in Alabama. The project included the installation of 13,000 feet of fiber optic cable and a total of eight terminations with our work completed in May of 2013

PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GAS, Multiple Locations, NJ
WAC has completed the new installation / reconductoring of the O-2293 circuit as part of the New Bergenfield GIS Substation Loop-in Project which included 1 mile of new construction including pipe, cable work and accessories and 1 mile of reconductoring involving cable removal and replacement of the 230kV HPFF circuit. WAC has also completed the R-1344 Project, a 6.7 mile re-conductoring effort from E Rutherford to Bergen Substations replacing the existing 230kV, 2500 kcmil HPFF cable with a 3000 kcmil, 230kV HPFF cable upgrade. WAC has finished working on the F-1332 / Q-1343 Project consisting of work on two 230kV HPFF circuits including a total of 9 terminations, 3 splices and 4 new manholes.

NSTAR ELECTRIC & GAS, Cambridge and Boston, MA
WAC has completed 2 projects in Cambridge, MA; the installation of a new circulating pipe with diffusion chambers in the North Cambridge and Putnam Substations along with the new construction of an 8 inch steel pipe, 115kV HPFF cable, 6 terminations (3 open air and 3 GIS), 2 trifurcators with risers and 1 phasing splice for a 2,800 foot circuit at the Mystic Station. In addition, WAC has also completed the replacement of twelve (12) 115kV HPFF terminations in Kingston Substation in Boston, by removing the existing Ohio Brass potheads and replacing them with new G & W terminations along with another 12 terminations at Substation 12 on Chatham Street. WAC also completed work on 2 separate reconductor projects of which an underwater section of cable was replaced with new cable and new splices on the 115kV HPFF and 345kV HPFF circuits.

WAC finished the Georgia Ave/Randolph Rd Intersection Project by relocating & upgrading three 69kV Feeders from LPFF to MPFF.

GEORGIA POWER COMPANY, Atlanta, GA
WAC completed the Atlanta Streetcar HDD Relocation Project in Downtown Atlanta. Working with our HDD sub-contractor Mears, we installed approximately 1,800 feet of new 115kV HPFF cable and accessories via horizontal directional drill technology and removed the existing cable, fluid and accessories in order to make way for new trolley construction.

PECO, Philadelphia, PA
WAC has completed working on the Crum Creek Relocation Project which involved the removal of the existing pipe, cable and fluid and the installation of approximately 1,350 feet of new 138kV HPFF cable, 8 inch steel pipe, fluid and accessories alongside and within the Crum Creek from the Eddystone Generation Station to a Manhole on the Boeing property.

SANTEE COOPER, Georgetown, SC
WAC has completed our work on the Campfield-Arcadia Water Crossing Repair Project, replacing 4,200 feet of 115kV HPGF. The work included 2 splices and 3 terminations and was started in October and completed in December of 2013.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER, Fort Belvoir, VA
WAC has completed our work by removing the HID Cobra Head and Cut-Off Fixtures and replacing them with new energy efficient LED Fixtures on the base of Fort Belvoir.

DC SUPERIOR COURT, Washington DC
WAC installed underground conduit, a manhole, hand-holes, street light poles and foundations to support the need for new lighting and CCTV in order to upgrade security measures along the public space perimeter of the complex.

WAC was awarded the contract and has completed the Benning to Ritchie project which includes a new 5.5 mile double circuit 230kV HPFF line and the replacement of three 69kV LPGF cables.

GENON ENERGY, Haverstraw, NY
WAC responded to the failure of a termination on a 345kV line at the GenOn generation facility by stabilizing the fluid filled circuit and completed the repair with the removal and replacement of 300 feet of cable, 3 terminations and 1 trifurcating splice.

BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC, Baltimore, MD
WAC was awarded the contract and has completed the work on the Paca Street Substation Re-arrangement Project consisting of the removal of six SF6 trifurcators and the installation of two straight joints and 25 feet of 138kV HPFF cable in its place. In addition, WAC has completed several minor preventative maintenance endeavors on behalf of BG&E in 2012.

POTOMAC ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, Washington DC
WAC was awarded the contract and has completed the removal of a 3.5 mile 34kV LPGF circuit and the installation of its 69kV MPOF replacement circuit along with 12 pressurized reservoirs between Takoma Park and Silver Spring Substations.

WAC was awarded the contract and has completed our work to de-commission and remove two 1-mile long 69kV HPFF circuits which includes removing and disposing of the fluid, pumping plant, cable and terminations and certifying the conduit for future use.

DUKE ENERGY / PROGRESS ENERGY, St. Petersburg, FL
WAC was awarded a contract to inspect and repair (if necessary) a total of seventeen 230kV HPFF splices on two circuits between the Bartow Pumping Plant and the Northeast Substation, finishing the work in August of 2012.

NSTAR ELECTRIC & GAS, Boston, MA
WAC has completed the installation of a replacement parallel 3,500 foot 345kV HPFF circuit along the Gilmore Bridge with 3 splices including 1 phasing splice attached to the bridge itself. While in Boston, WAC responded to a major power outage in Downtown Boston that resulted from a fire at the Scotia Station that damaged two 115kV HPFF circuits and their accessories. WAC replaced a total of 800 feet of cable, 12 terminations (6 GIS and 6 open air) and 4 splices (2 phasing and 2 stop joints) on this critical repair job.

WAC has completed the reconductoring of a 4.5 mile long Q-2217 circuit from Athenia Switching Station to Saddle Brook Substation in Clifton, Passaic, Garfield and Saddle Brook, NJ, replacing the existing 230kV HPFF cable with new 345kV HPFF cable as well as the S-1345 reconductoring project from Athenia Switching Station to East Rutherford Switching Station involving the removal of the existing 3.75 mile cable circuit, replacing it with a new 3000 kcmil 230kV HPPF cable system.

WAC has completed the new installation of pipe type cable systems at the Union Avenue and Grand Avenue substations in Downtown New Haven in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The work included cable installation, splicing, terminations and new oil lines.

DUKE ENERGY, Durham, NC
WAC was awarded the contract to install and replace a total of twelve 44kV HPFF terminations and twelve surge arrestors at a substation on the campus of Duke University and the work was completed in the spring.

PECO, Philadelphia, PA
WAC responded to the emergency failure of a 230kV HPFF circuit in Philadelphia in the early spring resulting in the removal of the damaged cable and the installation of a sophisticated 12-foot long “Dutchman” splice.

DC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, Washington DC
WAC successfully completed work under the DDOT DC StreetLight Asset Management Contract. WAC was responsible for the maintenance, repair, replacement, construction and inventory of all of DC’s StreetLight Assets from May, 2006 until September, 2012.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER, Fairfax County, VA
WAC has completed a project repairing three 230kV open air terminations at the Glen Carlyn Substation.

NSTAR ELECTRIC & GAS, Boston, MA
WAC assisted NSTAR on the sophisticated repair of a damaged 345kV line that runs along the Gilmore Bridge that involved three separate repairs including 3,400 feet of replaced cable and six splices over the course of several months.

PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GAS, South Plainfield, NJ
WAC was awarded two separate 230kV pipe-type re-conductoring contracts totaling over 8 circuit miles and has completed both the Q-1343 circuit from Gloucester to Cuthbert as well as the F-1332 circuit in Delaware Twp, Merchantville and Pennsauken, NJ. WAC also completed a repair at a 138kV co-generation facility in Bayonne, NJ and a repair on a 230kV circuit in Northern New Jersey.

XCEL Energy, Denver, CO
WAC was awarded and has completed 2 contracts; the replacement of 3 Ohio Brass 115kV terminations in the Harrison Substation and the purchase and installation of 27,400 feet of 115kV HPFF cable with 1 Y splice, 1 transition splice, 2 normal splices and 6 terminations on 2 separate circuits totaling over 2 miles.

PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC / BLACK & VEATCH, San Francisco, CA
Re-cabling of four existing 115 kV HPGF pipe type cable circuits with a total length of 18 miles. WAC removed the existing cables and replaced them with HPGF cables inside existing pipes. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are complete.

BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC, Baltimore, MD
WAC was awarded a contract and has completed working to install and replace a total of 29 230kV HPFF terminations at Hawkins Point and Sollers Point Substations in March, 2011. WAC also assisted BG&E on the emergency repair of a 115kV circuit.

JFE STEEL CORPORATION, Kurashiki, Japan
WAC, in collaboration with USi and Okonite, performed the removal, replacement and training on seven 138kV HPGF splices and six terminations at JFE’s West Japan Steel Works Plant during the 1st Quarter of 2011 and are planning to return in 2012 for the continuation of this international restoration project.

LONG ISLAND POWER AUTHORITY (NATIONAL GRID) / NEW YORK POWER AUTHORITY / USi,Garden City, NY
WAC has completed working on the repair of a failed 345kV line on Long Island, NY which involved locating the fault, removing the damaged cable and replacing it with 20 feet of new cable, and completing the work with a Dutchman splice with two joints.

PECO, Philadelphia, PA
Over the course of 2011, WAC made several significant repairs to PECO’s high voltage pipe type cable system along with the removal and replacement of six 138kV HPFF terminations.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY / SOUTHWESTERN POWER ADMINISTRATION, Bull Shoals, AR
WAC has completed a contract to install and replace twelve 161kV HPFF terminations including stand modifications, twenty-four 98kV surge arresters including stand extensions and footings, and all of the bus work and modifications for the new equipment.

MEMPHIS LIGHT, GAS AND WATER, Memphis, TN
WAC was awarded a contract to purchase and install thirty 115kV HPFF terminations to replace 50 year-old Ohio Brass terminations in six substations and has completed this work during the 3rd Quarter of 2011.

TAIHAN / BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC, Baltimore, MD
WAC has completed the installation of two new 115 kV XLPE circuits in Baltimore, MD from Westport Substation to a new GIS Substation including 24 three-phase cable splices and 18 terminations. Each circuit is 5 miles long.

EPCOR UTILITIES, INC., Edmonton, AB, Canada
WAC’s Canadian subsidiary was awarded a contract and has finished working on a project as part of the City of Edmonton’s NLRT extension project by rerouting a total of four existing 72kV lines in Downtown Edmonton.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER, Arlington County, VA
WAC has completed the Pentagon to Rosslyn Re-conductoring project; a 2.5 mile double circuit 69kV HPFF line which includes 8 normal splices in 4 existing manholes and 2 trifurcating splices.

ITC TRANSMISSION / USI TERMINATION REPLACEMENTS, Detroit, MI
Replacement of twenty-seven (27) 115 kV HPGF terminations. This was the final phase of this multi-year project.

JACKSONVILLE ELECTRIC AUTHORITY, Jacksonville, FL
Installation of approximately 4,000 circuit feet of 138kV HPFF underground cable across the Trout River. The project includes a 3,700 foot horizontal directional drill under the Trout River and was completed in June, 2010.

SEATTLE CITY LIGHT DEPARTMENT, Seattle, WA
WAC was awarded a contract to install one 200 foot section of 115kV LPOF three conductor cable including the installation of two 115kV LPOF splices. This project required a freeze and was completed in January, 2010.

WAC was awarded a sub-contract and has completed working on the cable removal, installation and splicing of a 138kV HPFF Line Relocation project.

AMERICAN TRANSMISSION COMPANY, Milwaukee, WI
WAC has completed a contract to purchase and install 12,750 feet of 138kV HPFF cable for a 3/4 mile circuit with a small portion under the Milwaukee River along with all of the splicing and terminations.

AMERICAN TRANSMISSION COMPANY, Madison, WI
WAC has completed a contract to purchase and install 24,100 feet of 138kV HPFF cable, 5 splices and 6 terminations in 2010.

Replacement of sixty-three (63) 115kV HPGF terminations as part of multi-year / multi-phase project.

DELMARVA POWER, Millsboro, DE
Installation of one 138kV EPR underground cable circuit nearly 1,000 feet in length from the 138kV bus to a new 138-69kV transformer at Indian River Substation. The project required providing and installing a conduit system, cable, six 138kV terminations and accessories along with the cable testing upon completion of the installation.

LOUISVILLE GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY, Louisville, KY
WAC mobilized and responded to a cable failure on a 69kV HPGF line. The work included removing the damaged cable, breaking down the existing splice, repairing the section of damaged pipe and installing two new splices.

SANTEE COOPER / BLUFFTON MARKETPLACE / BROAD CREEK CROSSING, Hilton Head Island, SC
Removal of 2,800 feet of underground 115 kV HPGF cable and installation of 2,800 feet of 8 inch pipe by Horizontal Directional Bore Construction and 115 kV HPGF cable under Broad Creek. The installation included six (6) terminations, one (1) three phase splice and a new Nitrogen gas monitoring cabinet. Completed in April 2009.

JOHN KERR POWERHOUSE / ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, Boydton, VA
Repair of Service Tap Failure on 115kV line that included installation and replacement of 250 feet of 115kV cable and one 115kV termination along with the removal of the damaged components.

PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GAS, Waldwick, NJ
WAC mobilized and responded to a cable fault on a 230kV HPFF circuit after being awarded the repair contract through a competitive bid. WAC crews applied two (2) freezes to the damaged line, removed 2,700 feet of cable, repaired the pipe at the location of the fault, installed 2,700 feet of new cable and performed two (2) splices.

DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER, Arlington, VA
Relocation of six 230 kV HPFF SF6 terminations. The work included replacing the terminations, splicing and a required freeze for each cutover.

CITY OF CLEVELAND PUBLIC POWER, Cleveland, OH
Repair of a dig-in on a 69kV HPFF circuit which included removing the damaged section of cable, repairing the damaged section of pipe, installing a new 69kV buried splice and replacing all of the lost / evacuated fluid.

SOUTHWEST PUBLIC SERVICE / XCEL ENERGY, Amarillo, TX
Removal of approximately 1,000 circuit feet of 115kV HPFF cable, 200 feet of pipe, 2 terminations and 2 trifurcators within Nichols’ Substation. The remaining pipe was drained, swabbed, capped and abandoned in place.

EPCOR UTILITIES, INC., Edmonton, AB, Canada 

WAC’s Canadian subsidiary was awarded and completed a project rebuilding four (4) 72kV HPFF splices, working through Thanksgiving in order to finish on schedule and before the onset of a long and hard Canadian Winter.
